Vehicle Strikes Wall After Driving Wrong Way, Colliding With Another Vehicle

Hazleton City Police, Hazleton City Fire, and EMS responded to the area of Peace and 21st Streets for a report of a motor vehicle accident just before 11 am Saturday morning.
The accident occurred when a Subaru station wagon occupied by one female was driving in the wrong direction along Peace Street, coming into the path of a Ford SUV occupied by one male legally crossing Peace Street Westbound along 21st Street.

The Ford collided with the Subaru in the rear driver's side, causing the Subaru to exit the roadway and strike a brick wall outside of a residence along Peace Street.

According to the operator of the Ford, the operator of the Subaru exited her vehicle and began yelling at the man, accusing him of causing the accident.

Police are charging the female in the incident.
