Trooper Anthony Petroski of the State Police and Deputy Robert Clark of the US Marshals held a press conference today regarding the search for Shawn Christy.

Petroski warned locals to be vigilant, keep vehicles locked, keep your houses locked and do not keep keys in your vehicle at any time. "There is a wanted fugitive in the surrounding area and he could be anywhere at this point. We are not aware of his location." Petroski said.

"Report any suspicious activity immediately." Trooper Petroski said. "Anything out of the ordinary. Food taken, a vehicle stole, a license plate removed off of a vehicle. Report that immediately through 911 operations."
Deputy Robert Clark said that US Marshals and the FBI were notified at approximately 7:30 this morning that a vehicle of interest believed to have been stolen by Christy from Allegheny County Maryland. "Deputy Marshals, FBI Agents, and Secret Service Agents responded and at this point there is an active ongoing search for Mr. Christy." Deputy Clark said.

Authorities are not releasing the exact area where the vehicle was located, however it was on the property of a commercial business near the Rush Township Wal-Mart.

Authorities described as very elusive. "It's been a challenge for us. Been a challenge for all the Federal Agents involved." Deputy Clark said, going on to say "We're up here until we bring him into custody."
