School To Have Extra Security After Shooting Threats

On Wednesday April 11th, the Freeland Police Department began investigating threats of a possible school shooting at the Freeland Elementary Middle School in Freeland Borough.

In a press release, Freeland Police have stated that additional security measures will be implemented at the school by both school security and the Police.
After approximately eight hours of investigating the situation, Freeland Police say they've exhausted their leads at this point concerning the investigation.

Police will be present at the school today due to the sensitive nature of the incident.
The press release in full is as follows:
"At this time, the Freeland Borough Police Department has exhausted it's leads on the alleged shooting threats made at the Freeland Elementary/Middle School. Due to the incident's sensitive nature, there will be additional security measures implemented at the school tomorrow (today) by both school security and Freeland Borough Police. If anyone has any additional information regarding this matter, please contact 9-1-1, or the Freeland Borough Police with details."
