At approximately 4:40pm on Wednesday August 31st, the Hazleton Police Department responded to the 400 block of East 9th Street to assist State Parole Agents in confronting a parolee, Eric Rodriguez Diaz, for violating parole.
It was reported that at some point in the past week, Diaz had fired a weapon at the mother of his children.
Upon arrival of police, Diaz was taken into custody without incident. State Parole Agents discovered the following firearms in the residence during a routine search of the residence.
12 GA Bolt action Shotgun
45 ACP Rifle Hi Point
22-250 Rifle Ruger
40 Cal Handgun Jenning
380 Cal Handgun Taurus
1 open box of 12 gauge rounds

1 open box of 22-250 rounds
2 Air Soft guns
1 shoulder holster
1 clip on holster

Hazleton City Police collected the items.
Prior incidents that were discovered to have occurred in the home include Diaz pointing a shotgun at a female and then firing it into a wall a few months ago.
The victim was too afraid to report it to police.
It was against Diaz's parole conditions to own a firearm. Firearms records checks also showed that the 22-250 Rugler Rifle was reported stolen in June of 2016.
Diaz was charged with 8 counts of Possession of Firearm Prohibited, 2 counts of Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Aggravated Assault, Receiving Stolen Property, Discharge Of A Firearm Into An Occupied Structure, Terrorist Threats, Simple Assault, and Harassment.
