Yesterday around 7:30pm, Wilkes Barre City Police responded to the Curry Donuts along South Pennsylvania Avenue for a report of an armed robbery.

According to Police, victims stated a black male who looked to be in his 20's or 30's with a dark hoodie and gun enter the business.

One victim began walking towards the front when the suspect pointed a gun directly at his head and made him get on the ground.
Another stated that the suspect told her to show him the safe, but when she informed him there wasn't one he told her to get the money from the register as he pointed his weapon at Victim 1.

According to police, victim 2 relayed that the male kept threatening to hurt Victim 2 if she did not hurry up. She got the money from both cash registers coming out to approximately $291. The suspect then pointed his weapon at victim 2 and instructed her to get money from her purse and she gave approximately $40.

The suspect then told her to take money from Victim 1, approximately $86. Victim 1 and Victim 2 informed police that the suspect told victim 2 to get both of their phones and place them on a "glaze" bucket in the kitchen.
The Press Release states that at this point the suspect began asking if there was a room for the victims to lock themselves into, and victim 2 showed him the storage room at which point he told victim 1 to get on the ground and another victim to unlock the door. He again pointed his gun at victim 2 and told both to get on the ground and begin counting to fifty. Victim 2 stated that she was afraid she was going to die at this point and as the male opened the door and left he kept stating to them "I'm still here."

Both relayed they believe they heard a vehicle start and drive away. A witness stated that he observed a silver Ford Fusion pull into his store and then drive past Curry Donuts very slowly.
Officers reviewed the footage and saw the bearded black male suspect who was wearing jeans, a low brim hat, a dark hooded sweatshirt,  and gray shirt walk into the store with a rifle.

Officers then reviewed footage from the Beer store and observed a newer model silver Ford Fusion pull in to the front of the store on camera, then pull out and eventually drive towards Curry Donuts.

The total taken from the registers and victims was $417.
