At 5pm yesterday Butler Township Police, Valley Regional Fire, and Medic 26 responded to the area of West Butler Drive and Old Turnpike Road for a two car motor vehicle accident.

The Scion pictured above and a black Jeep collided causing heavy damage to both vehicles. The Jeep fled the scene prior to arrival of Police.

Butler Township Police quickly described the vehicle as a black Jeep with heavy front end damage heading towards 309, requesting Freeland Police to keep an eye out for the vehicle. Minutes later, Freeland Police located the vehicle at the Fuel on at 309 and Butler Drive, two miles from where the accident occurred.

Injuries were reported from the Scion, however the extent is unknown.

One female was taken into custody in relation to the incident. No names have been released at this time. Both vehicles were towed.
