The 309/Kennedy Drive Project has begun. PennDOT says the main construction this year will be on Kennedy Drive between Washington Street and Sherman Street.

This area of Kennedy Drive will be closed to traffic from May 30th to September. Mail and garbage services will still continue for residents and businesses. Sidewalks will be open for pedestrians and businesses can expect deliveries/pickups to be accommodated. McAdoo EMA states.

From September to the end of October, Kennedy Drive will be closed to through traffic from Sherman Street to Blaine Street with the same restrictions and allowances.

The work that will be done in the areas above includes sidewalks, roadway, drainage, waterline relocation, signals and ADA ramps along with a new box culvert under Kennedy Drive that moves water in the Celebration Creek.
