Marshals suspect fugitive Shawn Christy of McAdoo stole a truck overnight from a business that he is reported to have burglarized just days prior. Read more on that burglary here.

The truck was reported stolen at 12:30am Sunday prompting State Police to issue a notice to all local departments to be on the look out for the vehicle.

Hazleton State Police say someone had gotten in after breaking a front office window, opened the rear garage door, and stole a white 2002 GMC Sierra 2500HD utility body truck.

The license plate is ZJP-4486 and the truck has Skitco Iron Works decals on the doors. The truck has a red ladder rack with a blue welding machine in the bed of the truck.
A U.S. Marshals Service release states: “Federal agents are considering Christy a suspect in this vehicle theft because Christy is believed to have burglarized the same business on Sept. 5 and was known to still be in the immediate area,”

Christy has been on the run for over three months after he has been accused of making Facebook posts that threatened violence against President Donald Trump and Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli. On June 6 authorities obtained an arrest warrant after Christy failed to show up for jury selection in an assault case against him.

Federal marshals, the FBI and the Secret Service joined the hunt on June 19, a week after he allegedly posted a threat to “put a bullet” in the head of Trump.
