Man Jailed After Motorcycle Burglary

On April 2nd 2018, Mahanoy City Police received a report of a burglary at 44 N. 8th Street.
A garage was reported to be entered and a 1999 Kawasaki motorcycle was reported stolen.

Police discovered the burglary occurred on Easter, April 1st 2018 at approximately 2pm.

As per police press release, through an investigation involving Mahanoy City Police and Mahanoy Township Police, the vehicle was recovered and an arrest was made.
Police took 21 year old Dominic Streisel of West Spruce Street Mahanoy City into custody at his residence.

Streisel was charged with felony violations of Burglary,
Criminal Trespass, Theft by Unlawful Taking, and Receiving Stolen Property.

Streisel was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker, and was released on $25,000.00 unsecured bail, but was committed to the Schuylkill County Prison on a Probation Violation. A preliminary hearing will be scheduled in the near future for the defendant.
