Man Behind Bars After 22 Counts Related To Rape While Babysitting

Yesterday an investigation by the Hazleton City Police Detective Division ended with a man behind bars.

Hazleton City Police say that beginning on 
November 11th, Hazleton City Police, Luzerne County District Attorney's Office and the Luzerne County Children and Youth began an investigation into child abuse claims involving two female victims. 

The investigation determined that Juarez had sexual contact with two juvenile females at a home on East Broad Street in the City of Hazleton over a two year time period. 

During the two year period, Juarez was 42-44 years old and the children were 10-12 and 8-10 years old.

Police say the abuse occurred while the children's parents were working and Juarez was placed in charge of watching them.  The investigation discovered that Juarez abused the two females on an almost daily basis through various forms of sexual contact for a period of two years.
Florencio Juarez was charged with the following:

Rape Forcible Compulsion F1, 2 counts
Rape Threat of Forcible Compulsion F1, 2 counts
Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse F1, 2 counts
Unlawful Contact with a Minor, F1, 2 counts
Aggravated Indecent Aassault of a Child F1, 2 counts
Sexual Assault, F2, 2 counts
Indecent Assault Forcible Compulsion F3, 2 counts 
Endangering the Welfare of Children (victim less than 13 years of age) F3, 2 counts
Corruption of Minors F3, 2 counts
Terroristic Treats, M1, 2 counts

He was taken into custody at his home in West Hazleton with the assistance of Luzerne County Children and Youth and the West Hazleton Police Department. 

Juarez was arraigned by Magistrate Dixon and denied bail.
