Man Arrested After Burglarizing Previous Employer 18 Times

Today at approximately 1pm, Officer Pedro Bautista arrested 23 year old Victor M. Tejeda Jr in relation to a burglary in the city.

Hazleton Police Department was dispatched 225 W. Broad Street, Metro PCS Store for a report of burglary and theft.

An investigation by the officers immediately revealed that in the last two weeks, Tejeda entered the store after hours, approximately eighteen times and removed different amounts of US currency each time.
The total amount stolen is over $6000.

Tejada was a former employee of the location and illegally gained access.

Charges were filed on Tejeda for burglary, criminal trespass, theft, and receiving stolen property. 
Statement by Police Chief Jerry Speziale:
“The officers quickly put this together and arrested the individual responsible.”

“The message should be clear, stay out of Hazleton, because if you commit a crime you will be pursued and arrested. “

Tejada is pending arraignment
