The Chicken Pluckers made a gracious donation of $1000 to the Freeland Whippets Midget Football Association in memory of Francis "Butchie" Falatko Jr..

A plaque in memory of Falatko hangs on the Whippet's concession stand at Della Croce Field in Freeland.

The Freeland Whippets Midget Football Association is a non-profit group which runs a flag football league in the spring and oversees various age groups of tackle football in the summer. The group operates separately from the school district as Freeland no longer had a youth program after merging into the Hazleton Area District.

A majority of the teams in the Wyoming Valley Junior Football Conference are associated directly with their local schools, using school fields and financially benefitting from their respective schools. The Freeland Whippets operate solely on their own fundraising and donations such as this donation in memory of Francis "Butchie" Falatko by the Freeland Chicken Pluckers.

The Whippets are very appreciative of any and all donations that help support the operation and growth of the Association.
