8/7/2018

A contractor from Hazleton is facing multiple civil suits filed in the past few months. From court dockets and other sources, the suits add up to nearly $50,000. Multiple other suits are currently being filed at this time.

In one case, five months after paying the contractor a large deposit, material was delivered however nothing was built.
In another case, four months after paying a large deposit, demolition was started and left unfinished.
In another, five months after paying a deposit, no materials were delivered and no work was done.
Joseph Souders of Jasco LLC is listed in the court dockets. A billboard for Jasco LLC once sat along 15th Street in Hazleton, yard signs can be seen in the Heights, and until recently the Jasco logo was on a work truck belonging to Souders. The logo has been removed since the civil filings.

One of the many cases was completed in late July. The Plaintiff originally submitted a claim for $3,100, but was awarded $4,035.48. In another case, Souders failed to claim a certified letter.

Souders faces hearings on 9/13 and 8/29 with others yet to be scheduled in Luzerne County.
