The Hazleton City Police Department is hiring a full time officer.
Applications can be found online at www.hazletoncity.org or in the Administration Office on the 2nd floor of City Hall, 40 North Church Street, Hazleton beginning today, Monday March 26th 2018 from 9am to 4pm Monday through Friday.
The application period ends May 18th 2018.
Refer to the application for specific requirements some of which are: U.S. Citizen, High School Diploma or equivalency Certificate. Possess a valid Motor Vehicle Operators License. Must be at least 21 years of age prior to application deadline date and in good medical condition. Must reside within 10 miles of the City of Hazleton after appointment. Must meet all Civil Service requirements. Once the hiring list has been completed, all applicants must either possess or obtain a valid PA Act 120 certification prior to being eligible for hire. Completed applications must be filed at the Office of Administration by 4:00PM Friday 18 May 2018. Examination process shall begin Saturday, 2nd June 2018 at 9:00 AM with the Physical Fitness Exam, followed by the Written Exam at 1:30 PM at the Southside Fire Station, 525 E Broad Street Hazleton PA 18201.
Starting Salary approximately $44,000.00 with increases to approximately $68,000.00.
