Hazleton Traffic Stop Leads To Narcotics Charges

Hazleton City Police say that around 4pm on January 19th, a Hazleton City Narcotics Detectives investigation led to a traffic stop along South Church Street near the Auto Spa.

Officers stopped a BMW driven by Anthony Napolitano and found that the occupants were in possession of over 250 bags of heroin/fentanyl and drug paraphernalia.

One occupant initially lied about his name to police, however officers uncovered that his name was Kyle Carter and he was a wanted subject in Bucks and Carbon County for previous drug charges as well. It was also learned that Napolitano had an non extraditable warrant from Florida but was currently on parole with State of Pennsylvania.
Charges:
Kyle Carter, 27, Tamaqua. Charged with False Identification to Law Enforcement, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia all Misdemeanor Counts.

Nevin Sterling, 23, New Ringgold. Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia all Misdemeanor Counts.
Justin Mcardle, 31, Tamaqua. Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia all Misdemeanor Counts.
Anthony Napolitano, 33, Lansford. Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia all Misdemeanor Counts.

Carter was immediately remanded to the Carbon County Correctional Facility while the other three were released after being processed. State Parole says that Napolitano would later be facing a parole violation.
