Hazleton City Police say that a felony warrant for the arrest of 23 year old Kaitlyn Lockard of Wopwallopen was issued stemming from an investigation that occurred between October and December in 2018 by the Narcotics Division and Luzerne County Drug Task Force.

During the investigation, the uniformed patrol division assisted the Narcotics Division with a traffic stop on a vehicle that Lockard was in.

During this stop she was in possession of 200 bags of fentanyl and was traveling back to the Wapwallopen area to redistribute. She attempted to discard the heroin out the window of the Kia Sedan she was a passenger in.

If anyone has contact with Lockard they are asked to contact the Hazleton City Police Department by dialing 911.

"The mission of the Hazleton City Police Department is to enhance the quality of life in our City by working in partnership with the community to enforce the law, preserve peace, reduce fear, and maintain order. The Hazleton Police Department is committed to accomplishing its mission of protecting the lives and property of all the citizens and visitors of Hazleton by treating everyone with compassion, courtesy, professionalism, and respect, while efficiently rendering public safety services and enforcing the laws impartially, by fighting crime both through deterrence and the relentless pursuit of criminals."
