At around 3pm today, Hazleton Police responded to 314 W Green Street on a criminal Trespass investigation. Numerous Hazleton Officers responded and came in contact with a male later identified as 22 year old Kaborn Pearson from New Jersey.  Pearson provided false information and a false name to the officers upon being taken into custody.

Police say Pearson was taken into custody at the scene for Felony Criminal Trespass and Providing False Information to Law Enforcement.  He was transported to Hazleton Police Headquarters and was identified on the department's new portable fingerprint identification device, which provided the name listed above and indicated he was a Sexual Offender out of New Jersey wanted by NJ State Parole on an extraditable fugitive from justice warrant within minutes.
Pearson is being processed at Hazleton Police Headquarters, will be arraigned and transported to LCCF pending proper extradition proceedings for his return back to New Jersey.

Statements of Police Chief Jerry Speziale:

"This is another example of the outstanding work by Hazleton's Finest in removing a dangerous and wanted individual from our streets."
