Around noon today, Hazleton Police responded to a call regarding two possible gunshots in the area of the 200 block of South Cedar Street.
"Officers immediately responded and were unable to locate any victims, evidence of a shooting, or damage to any structure or vehicle." Hazleton City Police Chief Jerry Speziale said.
Mayor Jeff Cusat also clarified that no victim or evidence of shots fired were discovered at the location.
As Hazleton Officers arrived on the scene they received a report of a Red Jeep with New York Registration seen leaving the area and an unknown black vehicle. Local departments were advised to watch for the red Jeep around 12:15.
Hazleton Officers canvassed the area and no one witnessed any shooting incident at this time.
