Over the course of several months, Hazleton Police, the Office of the Police Chief, Code Enforcement, Fire Department and Mayor’s Office have received countless complaints about quality of life and disruption to the neighborhood by the below individual, residence and garage.

The location has been checked on numerous occasions and at one point, several weeks ago it’s alleged a cigarette started a fire in the garage requiring the fire department.

Hazleton Code enforcement has cited the male individual for code violations and issues at the location have ranged from disruption of neighbors, quality of life, noise, garbage and fire hazards.

On August 25, 2019, at approximately 8:51PM, Hazleton Police Department received a call for a Domestic Dispute in the area of A Court and Hazle Street, which is located in the rear of the residence.

Hazleton Police received further information that indicated the male was striking a female in the garage at the location.

Upon arrival by Hazleton Police, it was determined the location to be 355 Muir Avenue.

Officers discovered the rear entrance of the location to be open and unsecured.  Police Officers made contact with the homeowner who allowed Officers to check the inside of the residence.

Officers made entry into the residence and located Paul Wroblewski (12/18/87) and Amanda Ferdinand (12/19/86) hiding in the Attic inside the residence.

Both denied any physical altercation took place and stated they watch a lot of WWE and were wrestling in the garage.

Officers on scene conducted a record check and determined Ferdinand to be a fugitive with an active County Sheriff’s Warrant out of Schuylkill County and Wroblewski to be a fugitive out of Luzerne County.

Both were taken into custody, transported back to City Hall, processed and transported to LCCF.

"Mr. Wroblewski and the location have become a chronic nusiance and we will continue to investigate all avenues to provide relief to the neighborhood."

“We will not tolerate disruption and disorder affecting the public.”
