Freeland Police Asking For Public Assistance In Locating Missing Child

Freeland Police are asking assistance in locating a missing child.

The boy is missing from the area of Carbon and Ridge Streets in the Borough. Last seen around 8pm wearing a red jacket and red hat.

Any information on the child's whereabouts should be relayed to the Freeland Police at 570636-0111 or to 911.

Volunteer firefighters with the Freeland Fire Department were dispatched to assist with searching for the boy.

UPDATE: As of 10:50pm, members of Freeland Fire Department located the child to the rear of the 300 block of Centre Street.
It appears that the child is safe.

EMS has been requested to evaluate the child due to being out in the cold.
