The group holding the first ever Dominican Parade in Hazleton was recently asked by the Police to change the date for their event.

In an email to Hazleton News 1, event organizer Robert Collado said that the parade will be held on Labor Day, Monday September 3rd, going on to say "We are an institution respectful of the requests made by the authorities and we accept the call of our police chief Jerry Speziale who wishes to be part of this parade and therefore asked us to change the date."
Additionally, Collado added "Everyone is welcome, regardless of their nationality, race or skin color. We want everyone to come so we can celebrate the privilege of being able to live together in the same community."

The parade will depart from 32 East Broad Street at 3pm.
