Yesterday around 3:30pm, Hazleton City Police Department says their Narcotics Detectives were conducting a surveillance detail in an attempt to locate wanted subject Eric Wisda.

Detectives saw him getting into a vehicle and uniformed patrol officers pulled the vehicle over. Wisda was apprehended in the area of 10th and Locust Street.

His warrant was originally for 2 felony counts of delivery of a controlled substance, fentanyl. He also faces additional charges of possession of drug paraphernalia from the traffic stop.

Wisda's charges stem from an investigation into narcotics dealing in the Alter Street business district during the month of December. During this investigation, Wisda sold fentanyl to an informant on several occasions.

"If the criminal element thinks changing their location to evade us is a solution, we will hunt you down, arrest and remove you" Chief Speziale said on the arrest.
