Yesterday April 22nd 2018 at approximately 5pm, Hazleton City Police responded to 842 West Diamond Avenue for a report of a male/female domestic involving a knife.
As reported on Hazleton News 1's Facebook page, two individuals suffered stab wounds during the incident.
Jamel CHICON (55 year old female)
Francis CHICON (49 year old male)
HPD stated in a press release that upon arrival, officers learned that the female, 55 year old Jamel Chicon, stabbed her husband with a kitchen knife after a verbal altercation.
The husband, 49 year old Francis Chicon, retaliated by throwing a brick at his wife and then stabbing her in the leg with a different kitchen knife.
Both parties were transported to the hospital and medically cleared. Charges for aggravated assault, simple assault, and harassment were completed on both parties.
