The Hazleton Drop The Drugs Van recently had it's first two events on March 18th with amazing results.
While attending an event for the Hazleton Elks Lodge and Hazleton Unico's Easter Egg Hunt on March 18th, the Drop The Drugs van collected 32 pounds of drugs in just a few hours.
Hazleton’s “Drop the Drugs” van is a mobile drug drop-off location to help keep excess and unwanted prescription drugs out of the hands of children and off of the streets. It is an initiative patterned after one originally started by former Susquehanna County District Attorney Robert Klein with the goal of making it easier for residents to safely and securely dispose of old or unwanted prescription drugs.

The van was unveiled in a press conference on February 16th 2018 with the goal of making it easier to get addictive drugs out of medicine cabinets and off of the streets.
