The second annual Dash For Dana and Aries 5k Run/Walk is scheduled for April 6th.
Dana Scatton was diagnosed with a very rare type of brain cancer known as DIPG in December 2017. She was 29 weeks pregnant at the time and was given 3 months to live. DIPG, diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, is an inoperable and aggressive type of childhood cancerous tumor that forms in the brain stem. It affects roughly 400 children in the US each year ages 5-8 and currently, there is no known cure.
The event starts at 10:00am. Registrants will Run/Walk 3.1 miles to help raise money for Dana and Aries as Dana continues to battle DIPG.
Shirts for the run will be available to those who register. Anyone who would like a shirt without running can e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. Shirts are $15 each.
